N. Sladkoff is a
painter
specialising in portraits. Her
surrealistic paintings
show how she likes using
bright colors. She expresses
her feelings in a
symbolic way: behind each
mysterious
face that she paints is a hidden meaning.
She likes
the art work of Botticelli, Michelangelo, the van Limburg brothers, Ivan
Bilibine, Leonardo da Vinci and
Vermeer, but her favorite artist remains
Vincent van Gogh;
she has been fascinated by his work, his life and his personality
since her teenage years.

Natacha Sladkoff
is French and was born in the Alps in
France. She also has Russian and Italian origins. On her
father's side she is the descendant of Russian
Tsarist
officers of a Cossack group - the Ural (Yaik) Cossacks.
She is now living in the Netherlands,
and her paintings
still express the melancholy of an uprooted expatriate.
